For partners

A drug used the way it was designed to be used works better and sells better. Compliance isn’t just a clinical benefit, it’s a commercial one.

How it works

Our tablets use oromucosal, or buccal, absorption: the drug crosses the lining of the cheek directly into the bloodstream. That’s different from a swallowed tablet, chew, or oral film, all of which still have to survive digestion before they can work. Ours doesn’t have to survive anything. It’s absorbed before digestion even starts.

01

Disintegrate in the mouth.

02

Absorbs through the cheek.

03

Skips the stomach entirely.

The free-base advantage

Why the numbers look better than you'd expect.

If you're used to dose loads and therapeutic options being limited in an orally dissolving format, look again. We are not tied to the traditional salt form of an active ingredient. Our platform uses the free base or free acid, which typically means meaningfully less active drug is needed to reach the same target.

That one difference is why the range of compounds that fit is wider than most people assume. Analgesics, sedatives, parasiticides, antibiotics, and proton pump inhibitors have all been delivered on this platform to their target species.

Built to survive real life

Stable in your hand. Gone in their mouth.

The tablet is stable enough to handle, package, and ship without special conditions, but it’s engineered to disintegrate almost instantly on contact with the mouth. It won’t dissolve from being held, dropped, or left on a counter.

Manufacturing credibility

A proven process, applied here.

Our tablets are produced on Catalent’s Zydis Fast Dissolve platform, the same freeze-drying technology behind well-known human medicines, manufacturing more than a billion tablets a year. We’re not asking anyone to bet on a new process. We’re applying an established one to a category that’s never had it before.
